A sample of my favorite Finished Objects.
Pattern: Leaves Bas-Relief Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport in Envy Notes: The lace on the hat keeps the project interesting, and the round stockinette knits up quickly.
Pattern: Spring Fling from Knitty Yarn: Rowan Wool/Cotton Color 944 Notes: Great, easy pattern. I would suggest making it about two sizes smaller than you think you need. Be prepared for some mind-numbing ribbing.
Yarn: Noro Kureyon Notes: A hat that works perfectly with Noro's color changes. Nothing beats watching the colors zig-zag. |
Pattern: Traveling Vine Lace from Knit Scarves Yarn: Knit Picks Shadow in Grape Notes: A scarf perfect for a first lace project. But, er, watch the yarn-overs.
Pattern: Super Simple Stripey Short (row) Socks Yarn: Knit Picks Essentials in ash and dusk Notes: Lovely, easy short rows. You are so much better than heel flaps. |
Pattern: Simply Stockinette from Knit Socks Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmere Notes: My first socks. Stockinette is not the best choice. They may be different lengths.
Pattern: Cable Twist Socks Yarn: Pattons Classic Merino Wool Notes: Great for sock and cable-lovers. Very easy and fun |
